Automated trucks L-MATIC HD/HD k

Autonomous pallet stacker

Ideal for heavy loads and high lifting heights.

The automated L-MATIC HD pallet stacker is ideally suited for the storage and retrieval of Euro and industrial pallets in wide-aisle warehouses and as an infeed truck for narrow-aisle applications. The truck is available in two versions, the L-MATIC HD and the L-MATIC HD k. Both models lift loads of up to 1,600 kilograms and reach lift heights of up to 3.5 metres. The combination of powerful hardware and intelligent software results in significant performance benefits. A wide array of sensors for load and environment detection ensure high process reliability. Various localisation procedures ensure that the trucks can be optimally adapted to the processes on site. The comprehensive safety concept protects the load, trucks and the environment. Both trucks are available with either lead-acid batteries or lithium-ion batteries. They are designed for 24/7 operation and automatically seek out the charging station when their charge level is low.

Characteristics

Safety

The Linde L-MATIC HD and L-MATIC HD k feature a comprehensive, sensor-based safety package that helps protect people, trucks, transported goods and the environment. Laser scanners monitor the entire working environment and ensure that obstacles and other trucks are detected in good time. If this is the case, the truck reduces its speed or stops. The monitoring areas of the scanners automatically adapt to the operating speed and the radius of the corner, allowing the trucks to work in even the tightest of spaces. A 2D curtain laser detects obstacles in high-up places, such as protruding loads or suspended objects. The safety features are rounded out by acoustic and visual warning signals for pedestrians and other trucks.

  • Comprehensive safety package
  • All-round monitoring of the working environment
  • Intelligent safety equipment with laser scanners
  • Automatic speed adjustment and collision prevention
  • Acoustic and visual warning systems

Handling

L-MATIC HD and L-MATIC HD k are designed for easy operation and seamless integration into modern intralogistics environments. Data can be entered via an intuitive touchscreen, which also displays important information such as the status of the truck, battery and system. The L-MATIC HD k uses pre-installed laser reflectors for localisation, while the L-MATIC HD uses natural feature navigation, which uses the immediate environment as its basis without additional infrastructure. The control software handles routing, order placement and power management. It can also be quickly connected to warehouse and ERP systems. Sensor-based pallet recognition ensures safe handling even when the full loading capacity is being used. The user-friendly commissioning software makes it possible to quickly integrate the trucks into existing work environments and adapt them to changing tasks. The dual mode makes it easy to switch between automatic and manual operation.

  • Intuitive touchscreen with simple user interface
  • Pallet detection for precise handling
  • Intelligent routing and task control
  • Interface to WMS and ERP systems
  • Can be switched to manual operation

Servicing

L-MATIC HD and L-MATIC HD k are based on tried-and-tested production trucks from Linde, which means that they offer the high level of reliability that users of Linde trucks have come to expect. The extensive Linde service network can be called upon for quick maintenance and repair at all times. All electronic and mechanical components are easily accessible and both the drive system and the lithium-ion batteries are durable and virtually maintenance-free. The combination of an electronic diagnostics system and preventative maintenance software ensures maximum availability of the truck. With the L-MATIC HD k, a digital twin supports the safe and reliable maintenance of software and hardware.

  • Reliability of a Linde production truck
  • Efficient service for high truck availability
  • Digital diagnostics tool for easy data access
  • Easy access to all components
  • Digital twin for L-MATIC HD k

Optional Equipment

Barcode reader

The L-MATIC HD can be fitted with a 1D/2D barcode reader, allowing load data to be scanned directly into a warehouse system.

Load positioning

The L-MATIC HD can optionally be fitted with a 3D camera for monitoring the pallet position.

Side safety scanners

The side bumpers of the L-MATIC HD, which are equipped with electrical stop switches, can be replaced with safety scanners that detect obstacles to the side of the truck.

Red warning lines

The warning light system of the L-MATIC HD k projects red safety lines onto the floor, thereby ensuring that pedestrians keep a sufficient distance from the truck.

Advanced load detection

The sensor system detects stacked load carriers and ensures additional safety during storage and retrieval with the L-MATIC HD k.
