Mast chains

Firmly connected
Mast chain of a Linde reach truck

Mast chains are the most heavily stressed parts of a forklift. A chain's service life depends on the quality of the materials used and the design of the chain elements – Linde Material Handling engineers have optimised both. Linde original mast chains are therefore particularly durable, wear-resistant, and safe.

Benefits of mast chains in Linde quality

High-quality materials in design and lubrication

High-quality materials that can withstand the high loads and stresses are used when manufacturing Linde mast chains. Splash lubrication means that the surface of the chain as well as all gaps between the plates and bolts are evenly lubricated before the first use.

Optimised design

Linde design engineers have optimised the alignment of the individual chain components, enabling the perfect interaction of the end links, chain anchor, and chain keep. Additional tests, above and beyond the requirements in accordance with ISO 3691-1, also ensure the extremely high strength of the chains. This includes the dynamic test with ‘chain redirection under load,’ allowing the strength and wear to be determined and optimised under real-life conditions. The optimised geometries of the chain elements mean that the chain operation is also quiet, which protects the operator's hearing.
