Accepting the award on behalf of Linde MH, Warehouse Systems and Projects Sales Manager, Mike Hawkins said: “Handling more goods, more flexibly and in less time is key for the future success in warehousing. Linde is leading the market with warehouse solutions providing the expertise required to increase productivity and lower truck lifetime costs for its customers.
Linde’s NavMan software has already been successfully installed for two major European pharmaceutical companies where it has helped to significantly reduce operator handling errors and risk of misplacing valuable pallets of stock and so we are delighted to receive this Award in recognition of this product innovation.”
Using the warehouse management system to guide the pallet racking process, NavMan enables a standard VNA truck to work in either a manual or semi automated mode. NavMan positions the truck in the exact location to either pick or deposit the load in the most efficient manner when handling full loads. This system ensures that all operators, whether experienced or novice, can work at the most efficient rate and reduces the loss in productivity due to the effect of fatigue at the end of each working shift.
The system is also currently being installed with a major UK commercial stationer, the first in the UK.
