Linde Material Handling (UK) has invested £2.9m into strengthening its Forklift Truck hire offering throughout the UK, including its heavy trucks fleet.

The investment will further enhance Linde as the largest supplier of short term hire trucks, now totalling over 10,000 machines across its UK network.

Linde Forklift Truck Hire assist with a speedy delivery

Bloodhound SSC is an extraordinary project, representing an extreme sporting challenge. A project designed to set a new World Land Speed Record at 1000mph, Bloodhound will be helping to push the boundaries of science and technology.

Developed over the last three years, the Bloodhound car is powered by a Eurofighter Typhoon jet engine and a hybrid rocket which will be capable of accelerating from rest to 1000 mph and back to rest again in 120 seconds, covering 12 miles during that time.

To promote the project, Bloodhound is giving sponsors the opportunity to hire the full size show car. As you can image, the 13.5 metre long, 3 metre tall supersonic show car creates an extraordinary impact at events. The car is transported in a 14 metre curtain-sided articulated truck which requires a fork lift truck to unload the car from the side.

The first project handled by Linde Forklift Truck Hire took place outside the Scottish Parliament. The Linde engine counterbalance truck, H 50, of five tonnes capacity was used to carefully unload and manoeuvre the car into position by a Linde fork truck operator.
