Main Purpose of Job
Reporting to the Senior Quality Systems Controller you will be responsible for quality engineering support within new product development teams or company wide quality improvement projects. Initially the role is directed at the1120 new Reach Truck Range.
Job Requirements

Provide Quality department representation and direction on new product development.

Lead other Quality improvement projects as nominated by the Head of Quality.

Produce and control quality plans which will support the development and series introduction of new product.

Facilitate the validation of the product and processes during development.

Monitor and resolve reliability and process issues to ensure the quality of product throughout development and service.

Communicate and present effectively / concisely on a technical level with colleagues at all levels, with departments both within the UK and Germany.
Key Skills / Qualifications.

Knowledge and understanding of the iPEP or similar process is desirable.

Knowledge and understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning is desirable.

Knowledge and understanding ISO 9001 requirements, lean manufacturing principles, 6 Sigma, FMEA and 8D reporting is desirable.

Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of project management principles.

Must have a good understanding of basic engineering principles

Must be able to read and interpret CAD data, engineering drawings and technical standards.

A good degree in an engineering discipline is desirable but not essential.

A minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial engineering, quality or product development role is required.

Experience in the automotive/commercial vehicle industry is desirable but not essential.

Knowledge of the German language is desirable but not essential.
