Main Purpose of Job
Provide a support role in any Quality Department to help maintain and improve the quality, process and customer satisfaction requirements.
Monitor production performance by carrying out component, product and process audits as directed.
Investigate root causes for errors found at audit.
Collate, analyse and report data to quality or production supervision.
Create Technical reports to reflect investigation results, escalating issues when required.
Ensure compliance to all relevant standards.
Provide support to the relevant quality, design, technical support, production, service personnel and suppliers when solving technical quality problems found at audit.
Collaborate with and support both the iQ and Line Support Team engineers.
Play an active role, including team membership in all quality and continuous improvement events such as quality gate, line support teams, 6 Sigma, LIP and iQ if directed.
Continually update and maintain all documentation, data recording / storage and analysis results.
Carry out visual, dimensional and electrical inspection of small parts and components using second level gauges. Must be able to understand and question the original design intent of drawings.
Take full responsibility for projects allocated to you.
Develop maintain and adapt with change: a full understanding of all required Linde computer systems required for fault diagnosis or maintenance of the quality process.
Develop maintain and adapt with change: a full understanding of all production processes from order processing to despatch.
Other daily duties as requested by the Quality Assembly Leader to maintain, update and improve the quality system or department efficiency.
Ability to communicate and present effectively / concisely on a technical level with collages at all levels.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical standards.
General Engineering apprenticeship or HNC Mechanical Engineering.
Hold a current valid truck driving and test certificate for all Basingstoke products.
